Boaz City Schools is approaching our first ever elearning day on Tuesday, November 24, 2015.  An elearning day is a day in which students receive their classroom instruction electronically. These days require students to work at home and will not require physical attendance in school buildings; however, students are able to utilize their school’s multimedia centers from the hours of 12-2:30 on this day if needed

The purpose of an elearning day is to provide engaging and empowering lessons that are linked to grade level standards.  Lessons will still provide real-time learning and will be linked to in-class learning. It should reflect a normal school day and is a valuable day of instruction.  Buses will not run on this date.

These days have been designed as professional learning days for teachers and staff. Students will have access to online instruction by way of teacher instruction (please be looking for specific school information to be coming home with your BES student soon).

If your student does not have access to a computer or the Internet on this day and cannot go child’s multimedia center at specified school from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. (remember no buses will be running on this date), Boaz City Schools will have limited technology and staff at the provided locations and times to assist you and your child:

However, if Internet accessibility is a concern for any Boaz City School student, parents should contact the student’s teacher for other arrangements.  Our teachers will communicate with parents and/or students in greater detail as the specific elearning Day draws near.  Questions about an elearning Day, should be directed to the student’s teacher first and then the child’s principal.
