Our Special Education Teachers

Mrs. Kaci Bowen
Mrs. Kaci Bowen joined the staff at Boaz Elementary in 2024. She graduated from Boaz High School in 2006 and received a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Auburn University in 2010. Kaci went on to receive a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Montevallo in 2013. Most of Kaci's experience is with the pediatric population, and she finds helping children become better communicators to be truly fulfilling!
Kaci enjoys reading, going to church, and spending time with her family. She lives in Boaz with her husband, Brad, and son, Everett.

Ms. Hadley Hamilton
BES welcomes Ms. Hadley Hamilton as one of our speech language pathologists for the 2025-2026 school year.

Mrs. Olivia Stewart
Olivia Stewart is a Special Education teacher at Boaz Elementary teacher. She is a 2008 graduate of Crossville High School, and has a dual degree in Special Education and General Education from The University of Alabama. Olivia is married to her husband, Shane Stewart, and they have two sons. She and her husband are members of First Baptist Church of Boaz. Olivia has a heart for teaching, and is so thankful to have the opportunity to work with the children of Boaz.

Mrs. Heather Womack
Mrs. Heather Womack is the Special Education Resource Teacher at Boaz Elementary School. She is a Boaz Pirate herself, as she graduated from BHS in 2006. Heather has her Bachelors in Psychology focused in Applied Behavior Analysis from JSU, and will be receiving her Masters in Spring 2026 from UAB in Collaborative Special Education. Heather has a background working with young children who struggle with behavior, as well as individuals with autism. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Chance, and her son, Sawyer. Some of her favorite things are reading, trivia, gardening, and the beach.
